ESRC Impact Grant Awarded
Katie Overy and Emma Moore were recently awarded an ESRC Impact Grant for a project entitled “A Multisensory Musical Activities Programme for Children with Dyslexia.” Research conducted within the IMHSD has shown that a specialist Musical Activities Programme (MAP) can support phonological and literacy skills in children with dyslexia. In this project, these findings will be shared with teachers and resources and training will be provided to enable teachers to use these activities to support children with dyslexia in the classroom.
